RetireWare's Powerful Wizards

RetireWare is powerful and sophisticated, yet it is very easy-to-use with its intuitive user interface and Wizards. With the Quick Calculation Wizard, you can plan your retirement in a few minutes. Then, you can do a more detailed analysis by using the other wizards and dozens of special features.

Using the Wizards

RetireWare has powerful wizards for all the major components of the software: a Quick Calculation Wizard, a Budget Wizard, a Net Worth Wizard, an Asset Allocation Wizard and a comprehensive Step-by-Step Retirement Wizard. To make it even easier, it also has printable 'cheat sheets' in PDF format that can be used to collect all required information away from your PC.

Quick Calculation Wizard

With the Quick Calculation Wizard, you can plan your retirement in just a few minutes. Then, you can do a more detailed analysis by using the other wizards and dozens of special features.

The Quick Calculation Wizard asks you only for the most essential information required for a calculation, such as your date of birth, earnings and assets, and retirement income objective. Once you complete the wizard, you can access any other feature from the menus or other wizards to explore other solutions and enhance your retirement plan.

Net Worth Wizard

Your net worth statement is a balance sheet that shows the current value of your assets and liabilities. The difference between the two is your net worth. You also use the Net Worth Wizard to update your net worth statement and recalculate your retirement projections at a later date with an existing file.

Budget Wizard

The Budget Wizard will help you build your budget. When complete, you will be able to compare your income after tax and deductions to your expenses, debts and savings. You can then take corrective action to adjust your expenses so that you have enough money left over to build a solid retirement plan and plan your other savings as well.

You can periodically update your budget statement to reflect changing circumstances by using the Wizard again on an existing file.

Asset Allocation Wizard

The Asset Allocation Wizard will help you determine the most appropriate asset allocation for your investments based on your time horizon and risk tolerance. It will also help you select the asset allocation basis for the long-term projection of assets.

Questionnaire

Answer a brief multiple choice questionnaire and RetireWare will suggest one of the following five profiles: Security, Income, Balance, Growth or Aggressive. You can then compare your existing portfolio to your preferred asset allocation and monitor deviations from your asset allocation.

You have the option to select the investment profile suggested by the questionnaire, use the asset allocation of your existing investments, or select your own asset allocation as a basis for comparison against your existing portfolio. The selected asset allocation basis is also applied to determine the rates of return on your portfolio for the long-term projection of assets.

You can use different profiles for registered and non-registered assets, and for the periods before and after retirement.

Step-by-Step Retirement Wizard

With the Step-by-Step Retirement Wizard, you can develop a comprehensive retirement plan using all kinds of assets as a source of future retirement income.

1. You have the option to start working on a new file using the Step-by-Step Retirement Wizard, follow your own approach or resume work on an existing file. If you want a less detailed approach to get an initial assessment, use the Quick Calculation Wizard.
